PHD IN ECOLOGY AND ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH

Full Accreditation, for 2 years, by A3ES (Portuguese Accreditation Agency), 29-01-2019 (link)

The 3rd Cycle of Studies in Ecology and Environmental Health is organized in 6 semesters, managing a balanced management between the methodological preparation of students for the research they need to do, and the preparation of their thesis under the guidance of the supervisor.

The first 2 semesters (30 ECTS + 30 ECTS) comprise classes during which students will study subjects related to the methods of scientific, qualitative and quantitative analysis; to the design of the thesis project; to argumentative and expository writing appropriate to a doctoral thesis, as well as relevant subjects in the area of Ecology and Environmental Health.

After completing the classes, the next 4 semesters are devoted to the supervised elaboration of the thesis, during which the contact between the student and his/her advisor will occur with the necessary regularity and intensity for the good accomplishment of the scientific work.
